Anacharis

Tender submerged plant with small three petaled flowers in late summer, often sold as aquarium plants and grows easily indoor. Does best potted in high nutrient or highly oxygenated areas, and helps remove phosphates from the water.

Aquatic Mint

This highly fragrant plant attracts butterflies and blooms lavender, pom-pom like flowers. Prefers moist soil to two inches deep shallow areas, and grows 3-12 inches high with an aggressive habit.

Hornwort/ Marestail 

Multi-branched submerged plant w/ thick green foliage that grows like a floating mat without visible roots. Valuable environment for fish and other aquatic life, very hardy. Great for coverage and cooling down water temperatures in warm spots and helps remove phosphates from the water.

Water Celery, Green

Similar to store bought celery that is edible too for humans and fish, esp. koi. Small white star-like blossoms; excellent for filtration, bogs and shallow areas and edges, very hardy with a highly aggressive habit.

Water Hyacinth

Floating plant whose roots hang into the water and are excellent for filtration Prominent lavender-blue flowers that last for one day only, grows rapidly and requires occasional management, great for coverage in open warm water areas.
